I feel very proud of myself that I took the great challenge of founding the Bowling Green State University (Ohio State) chapter of The Society Of Success & Leadership.  The Organization has been a big success at my school.  Currently my school's chapter has been nominated for two outstanding awards: "Best Student Organization" and "Most Innovative Program Award" out of the 250 Student Organizations at BGSU.

In October 2002, I had job interviews with Ernst & Young LLP and Progressive Insurance.  I included "The Society Of Success & Leadership" in my resume, and during my interviews, I was asked what the Society was all about.  I told the recruiters that The Society of Success & Leadership is a national student organization with a mission, "To help college students create the lives they desire by helping them discover what they truly want to do, and giving them the support, motivation, and tools to achieve their goals."  I also told the recruiters about the Society's monthly live satellite teleconferences, which features award-winning speakers/ educators.  The two Fortune 500 organizations (E & Y and Progressive Insurance) were very impressed about the activities of the Society.  I was told that having a good GPA was simply not enough to secure a great job upon graduation.  To have a great job, a smart student ought to develop time management skills, goal-setting skills, interpersonal skills, team working skills, planning skills and leadership skills while in college.  Most of these skills aren't taught in the classroom, but could be developed by joining student organizations like The Society Of Success & Leadership.  I have the pleasure to inform you that I succeeded in getting both job offers and will be joining Ernst & Young LLP upon graduation.

I would like to use this opportunity to advise every student to be an active member of The Society Of Success & Leadership.  Every student should also realize that he/she is the master of his/ her own fate, the architect of his/her destiny and the person behind the wheel of his/her life.  If you want to succeed in life the decision is absolutely yours!

Keep up the great work, and best regards to every member of your team.

Many thanks.
